This is just a place for me to share with others A) my love of reading and B) how it helps me through my depression and anxiety.
Lemme give you some back story.
I’m all for medical science and medicine. Don’t get me wrong. However, for whatever reason, after I hit about 28 years old my body decided it didn’t want to take medication anymore. 🤷♀️
My body reacts terribly to it!
I’ve had terrible allergic reactions to antibiotics, over the counter medications,and after a mix up with the Emergency Room: a terrible multiple month long allergic reaction to Ativan.
There is a lot more to it than that…but… I will not bore y’all with the details. 😂
Soooo….instead of medication for my anxiety and depression…I have resorted to reading, therapy, and healthy lifestyle habits.
All of which have helped me immensely. ❤
I want this blog to sort of be a therapy book club.
A place where I can geek out about my favorite books, and books that I’m currently reading. Also, a safe place where myself, and hopefully others, can be reminded that we are not alone in our mental health struggles.
